I began independent tutoring shortly after graduating from the University of California at Berkeley with a B.A. in psychology. My first year and a half at UCB were devoted to the pre-medical field, which provided me with a strong background in chemistry and calculus. I now apply my math and science knowledge toward tutoring and use my strong writing and conversational skills to teach ESL and to edit college, high school, and middle school papers.

Prior to owning my independent tutoring company, I spent several years as a volunteer tutor in a secondary afterschool program. I also worked as a teaching assistant in a computer class for young children. I worked temporarily for several corporate tutoring companies before realizing that operating my own independent business would give me the most freedom to be creative in reaching out to students. I now have tutored independently for more than four years, and I am continuing to build a strong base of clientele.
